The Maykestag Code 6848 Speeddrill+ Aluminium is a high-performance solid carbide drill developed specifically for efficient machining of aluminium and other suitable non-ferrous metals. Manufactured to DIN 6537L, this long-series 5xD drill combines specialised Type W geometry with internal coolant supply and Maykestag&s AURODUR coating to support high cutting speeds, excellent chip evacuation and reliable hole quality.

The drill&s six guide chamfers provide excellent guidance and stabilisation in the bore, helping maintain alignment and dimensional accuracy even when demanding cutting speeds and feed rates are used. Its specially developed smooth AURODUR surface helps reduce the tendency for aluminium to adhere to the cutting edge, limiting built-up edge formation and supporting consistent cutting performance.
