Bring a fresh shine to automotive paintwork and tackle your next finishing project with the Tork Craft POL06-2G 1500W Polisher. Designed for automotive and DIY applications, this corded rotary polisher combines a powerful motor with adjustable speed to help you match the polishing action to your surface, accessory and polishing compound. The supplied 180mm backing pad and wool bonnet provide a practical starting point for polishing painted surfaces, while the six-position speed dial offers settings between 600 and 3000 RPM. Constant speed control helps maintain a consistent working speed under normal operating loads, and soft start brings the motor up to speed progressively for smoother handling at startup. Both a D-handle and an auxiliary handle are included, giving you a choice of supporting grip for controlled, two-handed operation. A protective gearbox cover, lockable trigger and 3m power cable round off a useful package for vehicle care and general finishing work.
The POL06-2G combines three useful control features. The six-position speed dial lets you select the working speed, constant speed control helps maintain that speed as the normal working load changes, and soft start provides a progressive increase in motor speed when the tool is switched on. Together, these features help you manage the polishing process with greater consistency and control.
The included wool bonnet fits over the backing pad for polishing painted surfaces with an appropriate polishing product. Choose the accessory, compound and speed according to the surface condition and the accessory manufacturer&s instructions.

Extra Information
- Speed selection: The six settings are 600, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 and 3000 RPM. These are no-load speeds; choose the setting according to the accessory and polishing product instructions.
- Handle choice: Both the D-handle and auxiliary handle are supplied. Fit the appropriate supporting handle securely before use and maintain a two-handed grip.
- Backing pad and bonnet: The backing pad supports the polishing accessory, while the wool bonnet provides the contact surface for polishing.
- Rotary polishing technique: Keep the pad moving across the work area with controlled pressure. Concentrating pressure in one spot can create excessive heat and damage the finish.
- Ventilation: Keep the air vents clear of dust, dirt and polishing compound to help prevent motor overheating.
- Maintenance: Inspect the cable, accessory and fixing screws regularly. Spare brushes are supplied; electrical servicing should be performed by a qualified person.
Before polishing: Test the selected bonnet, compound and speed on a small, discreet area. Follow the surface care and polishing product instructions, especially around edges, raised details and delicate finishes.
Pro Tips
- Prepare the surface: Wash and dry the work area thoroughly. Dirt trapped in the bonnet can mark the finish.
- Begin with a test section: Confirm the result on a small area before working across a larger panel.
- Use controlled pressure: Let the accessory and compound do the work. Excessive pressure increases heat and motor load.
- Work in manageable sections: Use overlapping passes and keep the pad moving to help produce an even finish.
- Keep the bonnet clean: Follow its cleaning instructions and remove compound build-up regularly. Replace worn or contaminated accessories.
- Protect vulnerable details: Take extra care around panel edges, trim and raised features where the pad can catch or concentrate pressure.
- Allow cooling breaks: Reduce the load and let the tool rest if it becomes excessively hot.
How to Use
- Prepare the work area: Clean the surface, secure loose workpieces and ensure the area is dry, tidy and well lit. Wear suitable protective equipment.
- Disconnect before assembly: Ensure the polisher is unplugged and the trigger is released before fitting handles or accessories.
- Fit the supporting handle: Secure the D-handle with the supplied M8 cap screws and 6mm Allen key, or fit the auxiliary handle. Check that the chosen handle is firmly attached.
- Fit the backing pad: With the spindle stationary, use the spindle lock to assist with fitting the compatible M14 backing pad. Release the lock before operating the tool.
- Fit the wool bonnet: Position it securely and evenly over the backing pad. Check that the accessory is undamaged and correctly seated.
- Select the speed: Choose a setting suitable for the surface, accessory and polishing product. Begin with a small test area and follow the product instructions.
- Connect and operate: Confirm that the trigger and trigger lock are disengaged, connect to the correct mains supply, hold the tool firmly with both hands and press the trigger.
- Polish with controlled movement: Follow the polishing product instructions, use light pressure and keep the pad moving in overlapping passes. Keep the cable clear of the rotating accessory.
- Switch off safely: Disengage the trigger lock if used and release the trigger. Maintain control until the accessory stops completely before putting the polisher down.
- Clean after use: Unplug the tool, allow it to cool and clean the housing with a soft cloth. Keep the vents clear and clean the bonnet according to its care instructions.
Safety
- Read and retain the instruction manual and all safety instructions before operating the polisher.
- Wear eye, ear and suitable dust protection for the task. Keep loose clothing, jewellery, hair and gloves clear of rotating parts.
- Hold the polisher firmly with both hands and maintain secure footing throughout use.
- Disconnect the mains supply before fitting accessories, changing handles, cleaning or carrying out maintenance.
- Ensure the trigger and trigger lock are disengaged before connecting the power supply, picking up or carrying the tool.
- Use only securely fitted, undamaged accessories suitable for this polisher. Their speed rating must meet or exceed the tool&s maximum speed of 3000 RPM.
- Operate the spindle lock only when the tool is disconnected and the spindle has stopped completely.
- Keep the power cable clear of the rotating pad and hold the tool by its insulated gripping surfaces.
- Keep the work area clean and well lit, with children and bystanders at a safe distance.
- Keep the tool dry and do not expose it to rain. Use a suitable outdoor extension cable when working outdoors.
- Do not operate near flammable liquids, gases or dust. Sparks from a power tool can ignite an explosive atmosphere.
- Avoid excessive pressure and prolonged polishing in one position. Reduce the load and allow cooling breaks if the tool overheats.
- Stop immediately if there is unusual vibration, noise or accessory movement. Disconnect the tool and check the accessory fitment and fixing screws.
- Wait until the accessory has stopped completely before setting the polisher down.
- Do not use a tool with a damaged cable, faulty switch or damaged components. Have repairs performed by qualified service personnel.
- Keep the ventilation openings clean and avoid petrol, alcohol, ammonia-based cleaners and other solvents when cleaning the housing.
