Tork Craft Digital Torque Gauge Adaptor 7-340Nm 1/2" Drive
At a Glance: High-capacity digital torque gauge with a 7-340Nm measuring range, 0.1Nm resolution, 1/2" male and female drives, three operating modes and audible/visual torque alerts.
Add accurate digital torque measurement to compatible hand-drive tools with the Tork Craft TCTQA12340 Digital Torque Gauge Adaptor. With its broad 7-340Nm working range, this high-capacity model is ideal for demanding fastening applications where controlled torque is essential. The compact gauge fits between a suitable hand-operated drive handle and socket, allowing applied torque to be monitored electronically rather than relying on feel alone. Tracking, Peak and Pre-set operating modes provide flexibility for different jobs, while the backlit LCD display, selectable measurement units, Peak-mode memory and progressive LED and buzzer warning system make controlled tightening clear and convenient. Supplied with 3/8" and 1/4" drive adaptors, batteries and a PH0 screwdriver, the TCTQA12340 is a versatile torque-measuring solution for automotive, manufacturing, construction, workshop and DIY applications.
The TCTQA12340 combines a 1/2" female input and 1/2" male output with a substantial 7-340Nm measuring range, making it suitable for a wide variety of medium- to high-torque fastening applications. It can be used with compatible ratchet handles, sliding T-handles and power bars, while the included 1/2" female to 3/8" male and 1/2" female to 1/4" male adaptors extend compatibility with smaller drive accessories.

Application
- Controlled tightening of bolts, nuts and screws.
- Automotive servicing and repair.
- Mechanical assembly and maintenance.
- Manufacturing and production environments.
- Construction and installation work.
- Workshop servicing requiring measured torque.
- DIY fastening where a specified torque value must be achieved.
Extra Information
- Clockwise accuracy: 2%.
- Anti-clockwise accuracy: 2.5%.
- Torque warning system: The LED begins flashing and the buzzer sounds once approximately 80% of the selected torque value is reached. The warning becomes progressively faster as the selected value is approached and becomes continuous at 100%.
- Peak data storage: Torque readings can be saved and recalled when operating in Peak mode. Data saving is not available in Tracking or Pre-set modes.
- Battery indication: Replace the batteries when the battery indicator shows only one of its three bars.
- Low-voltage protection: The gauge automatically switches off if battery voltage drops below approximately 2.2V.
- Calibration recommendation: To maintain accuracy, calibration is recommended once a year, after unusual handling or overloading, or after approximately 5000 cycles.
- Storage and care: Keep the gauge protected from harsh chemicals, moisture, excessive heat and vibration.
Pro Tips
- Switch the gauge on before applying any force. Applying load before start-up can create an offset reading that will require resetting.
- Apply torque with a slow, smooth and steady pull or push rather than a sudden movement for better control.
- Use Pre-set mode for repetitive fastening work where the same torque value needs to be achieved several times.
- Use Peak mode when you want to capture and review the maximum torque applied during a tightening operation.
- Always confirm the specified tightening torque from the vehicle, machine or component manufacturer before starting work.
- Avoid extensions that move the centre of the fastener away from the centreline of the drive, as this can alter the effective torque applied.
- Protect the gauge from drops or heavy impacts, as physical shock can affect measuring accuracy.
How to Use
- Install two AAA 1.5V batteries in the battery compartment, observing the correct positive and negative orientation.
- Press the P/C button to switch on the digital torque gauge. Press P/C again if the displayed reading needs to be cleared or reset.
- Press the M button to cycle through and select Tracking, Peak or Pre-set operating mode.
- When setting a target torque, use the + and - buttons to increase or decrease the required value.
- Press the U/S button to confirm the torque setting and select the required measurement unit: Nm, lbf.ft, lbf.in or kgf.cm.
- Fit the required socket or drive accessory to the square drive. Use one of the supplied adaptors where necessary.
- Place the socket securely onto the fastener and apply a slow, steady force through the hand-operated drive tool.
- At approximately 80% of the selected torque value, the LED and buzzer begin signalling. The warning increases in frequency as the target is approached.
- Stop applying force when the required torque has been reached and the LED and buzzer give the continuous target indication. Do not continue tightening beyond the required value.
- When using Peak mode, the maximum torque value remains displayed and can be saved using the Mode/Save button for later recall.
Safety
- Read and follow all supplied operating and safety instructions before using the digital torque gauge.
- Wear appropriate eye protection and any other personal protective equipment required for the task.
- Always use the correct tool, socket and accessory for the fastener and application.
- Follow the vehicle, machine or component manufacturer&s specified tightening torque to prevent fastener or component damage.
- Do not exceed the maximum 340Nm torque capacity of the TCTQA12340.
- Do not use the digital torque gauge with an impact wrench or impact driver.
- Apply torque using a slow, controlled movement and maintain a secure, balanced stance in case the socket or drive tool slips.
- Do not disassemble the torque gauge. Servicing and calibration should be performed by suitably qualified personnel.
- Use only suitable accessories designed for the drive system and application.
- Do not expose the gauge to harsh chemicals, excessive moisture, high temperatures or unnecessary vibration.
- Do not drop the gauge, as impact can affect measuring accuracy.
- Remove the batteries if the gauge will not be used for an extended period.
- Replace both batteries at the same time and do not mix different battery types or brands.
